Portable vaporizers work by heating their contents to a temperature that releases the aromatic and flavor compounds found in the vaporization material.
In this way, portable vaporizers can be used to heat and activate the scent and vaporize the oils of plant matter, providing a wonderful aroma without fire or smoke. You can turn any herb, from chamomile to wintergreen, into a sensuous potpourri.
The Stealthvape™ portable vaporizer contains a stainless steel heating element shrouded in a ceramic cup. When the device is switched on, the heating element will reach a temperature high enough to activate desirable aromatic compounds, but not high enough to ignite or burn other matter that may create undesirable smoke.
Many other products will provide a similar end result, but the Stealthvape™ provides the unique benefit of fitting easily and discreetly in the hand of its user.
Q: What's the best way to use the Stealthvape™?
A: Load up the bowl with your vaporizable material, snap the cap on, insert the battery (positive/nub end first), and insert the button after it. Twist the button clockwise to lock the button in place and begin vaporization. Ideally, a user only needs to keep the battery in for about 10-15 seconds of use at most. It is recommended that you remove the battery after use to prevent any accidental discharge while the device is shaking around in a pocket.
Q: What smell is generated by the use of the Stealthvape™?
A: That absolutely depends on what you are vaporizing. With countless options in terms of compatible flowers and substances, the smell emitted will vary greatly depending on what you are using. In comparison to actual burning or smoking of a substance, the smell is by default greatly diminished and will not contain the same carcinogens that burnt plant material would emit.
Q: What are the health benefits to vaporization over smoking?
A: Burning a substance, especially plant material, releases many carcinogens which can be harmful to your health. Vaporizing involves heating up material to a boiling temperature for scents and oils and other substances without setting them on fire.
Q: How does one properly handle the included battery? It seems strange that the label is removed.
A: We remove the wrapper so that it can maintain a negative electrical circuit contact with the spring inside the device. As with any other battery operated vaporizer that uses stripped batteries, one must take care not to place the battery in metal containers, or short the battery by touching it up against another battery, or other piece of metal, with the positive nub and the top rim both making contact.
Some have asked us questions regarding the safety of airflow around the battery. As long as the battery has not been tampered with, ruptured, overheated or overcharged, there is nothing to worry about.
There are a few misconceptions about NIMH batteries that need to be cleared up. First of all, AA NIMH batteries are hermetically sealed. When not tampered with or misused, the batteries we use are solid. If a battery is discharged against the side of another battery or a short piece of metal for an extended period of time until it becomes overheated, this can cause the battery to leak as high temperatures cause internal expansion and a breaking of the hermetic seal. Very low temperatures can cause similar problems in NIMH batteries. For more information on what not to do with your AA NIMH batteries, read this resource on NIMH battery safety.
IF YOUR BATTERY HAS CHANGED COLOR, APPEARANCE, EXHIBITS RUPTURING OR FORMATION OF SALTS, DO NOT USE! THROW AWAY THE BATTERY IMMEDIATELY AND REPLACE WITH A FRESH ONE. DO NOT MODIFY THE BATTERY.
Q: I've cleaned out the vaporizer chamber with a brush, but there is still resin and discoloration. How can I further clean the device?
A: Our vaporizers are able to be submerged for a long period of time in isopropyl alcohol, and then soaked or rinsed off in water. This action tends to remove a significant portion of any resin or residue that may have been built up inside on the mesh screen.
